Kayak tours and kayak instruction and retail sales on the Hudson River

The Annsville Creek Paddlesport Center was the first canoe and kayak center on the lower Hudson River. Former Governor Pataki designated this three-acre site as a part of the sprawling Hudson Highlands State Park, and declared that it would provide "spectacular access to the water" for recreational boaters. The Annsville Creek Paddlesport Center is located at the Route 9/Route 6 traffic circle in Cortlandt, just west of Peekskill.
Our second Paddlesport Center is located at Norrie State Park in Stattsburg between Hyde Park and Rhinebeck. For almost twenty years we have been running programs at Norrie State Park. The Norrie Point Paddlesport Center offers the same high quality retail kayak equipment as Annsville Creek. Over two dozen boats are available for use on our programs or to be demoed. Norrie is a beautiful location that offers many interesting trips. A full schedule of instructional programs are offered from both Annsville and Norrie. Norrie also includes camping and cabins. See Reserve America for camping information.
Both Centers, which is operated for New York State by Atlantic Kayak Tours, have public access for car topped boats from a wheelchair accessible dock. Atlantic Kayak Tours offers many different recreational and instructional programs, as well as rentals and retail canoe and kayak sales.
Annsville Creek Paddlesport Center is the only paddlesport center in the tri-state region with a dedicated classroom area where educational programs are offered by both our own staff and outside organizations.
