We are very proud of the equipment Atlantic Kayak Tours offers. You will not find a better selection of equipment anywhere. The quality of the equipment will be reflected in the enjoyment and safety you feel while out on the water.
Our 125 boat fleet is made up of fiberglass, Kevlar and plastic kayaks which cost between $1,000 to $4,000. We use the best kayaks manufactured by Nigel Dennis Kayaks, Necky Kayaks, Valley Kayak, plus a few others. We sell kayaks at both our Annsville and Norrie Paddlesport Centers. If you are in the market for a kayak, our varied fleet allows you to try out many boats before you buy.
Our accessory equipment is also the highest quality. We use Werner Paddles in different designs, which fit various boats and paddlers. The quality of the paddle is as important to enjoying sea kayaking as the kayak itself. Along with top of the line paddles we use Snap Dragon spray skirts, Kokatat paddling jackets, pants, and drysuits. These items are the best available anywhere.
Kayaks may be rented from us for use on any of our programs. Rental includes the boat, spray skirt, paddle, and PFD (life jacket). Specific kayaks may be requested on a first come - first served basis, therefore, the earlier you sign up the wider your selection of choices. Most of our double kayaks are fitted with rudders for easy steering. Most of our single kayaks have skegs, not rudders.
