The Thule Kayak Stacker was designed for whitewater kayaks. You can use one set of Stackers and put two to four whitewater kayaks on each side of The Stacker with long straps to tie them down.

Many people like The Stacker for taller vehicles like pickup trucks. Combined with form blocks on the bars The Stacker allows one sea kayak carried on the kayaks' side to be put on each side of The Stacker. The side of the kayaks is the strongest part of the kayak and especially a good way to carry plastic kayaks.

For lower height vehicles the Hull-A-Port holds a sea kayak on the side without the need of foam blocks. The redesign of the Stacker does make it a better product and still a good choice for whitewater paddlers and some sea kayakers. It is one of the least expensive ways to carry two kayaks.
