NORRIE TO KINGSTON

- Norrie
- Intermediate
We paddle north past Mills Mansion and Esopus Meadows Lighthouse on our way to Kingston.
Kayak Tour on the Hudson River
Join us for a 14 to 18-mile kayak tour as we make our way to Kingston with the current. Leaving from Norrie we head north on the Hudson River. We will paddle at a 3 to 4 knot pace. A quick stop at Jones island is an option.
Once there, we have a few options for our lunch spot in the Kingston area. The conditions of the day determine how far we travel and any optional side trips. We can paddle up the Roundout Creek to see downtown Kingston or land on the sandy beach at Kingston Point Park. Kingston Point Park is a nice place to get wet and practice your skills.
On our return trip we can stop at Scenic Hudson’s Esopus Meadows Preserve for a break before we get back to Norrie.

Previous paddling experience is needed. You need to have a good forward stroke to cover 14 to 18 miles at a 3 to 4 knot pace. If windy the river can get rough making for a harder trip.
