Sunset Kayak Tour in the Catskills

We have a few different possibilities for this guided kayak trip at sunset. What we do is dependent on the currents, wind, and the group.

We can head south where we pass a few places which offer opportunities for a rest stop on a six-mile trip. A four-mile trip can cross to the eastern shore and explore South Tivoli Bay and stop on Cruger Island for a break. The third option is to head two and a half miles north to the Saugerties Lighthouse for this five miles round-trip kayak excursion.

If it’s windy and the river is rough we will need to do a shorter trip. Whatever we decide to do, this is a nice part of the Hudson to paddle and a great way to end the day.

*Note: Minimum age 14.

Please arrive 15-20 minutes before the program start time to get set up with your equipment so we can get the program started on time. 

Rental kayaks are limited on this program. Please email us to check if we have space to carry a kayak for you and have a kayak that is suitable for your size and skill level.
